Challenge
Senior leadership cover at a national institution: an in-flight public digital service (LibraryOn), a web development team needing direction, and — mid-tenure — a major cyber attack that took core infrastructure offline.
Approach
Hands-on technical leadership: architecture decisions, code review and mentoring on LibraryOn, delivery to public-sector accessibility and procurement standards, and coordinating the web team’s interim response in the hours and days after the attack.
Outcome
LibraryOn delivered as an accessible public service, a web development team in better shape than I found it, and a leadership gap covered for a full year.
